August is a special month because we can see the full moon twice. The second full moon is usually called a "Blue Moon," while it does not actually mean the moon appears blue to the naked eye. When the full moon occurs near the moon's closest approach to Earth, it appears visually larger, referred to as a "Supermoon." The biggest full moon of the year is expected to be seen on the night of August 30. Join CGTN's livestream and appreciate the wonder of moonlight.
