A press conference for the first Golden Panda Awards was held on August 26 in Beijing. Scheduled to be held on September 19 and 20 in Chengdu, southwest China's Sichuan Province, they features a total of 25 awards across four categories: film, TV drama, animation and documentary. The organizing committee has solicited works from around the world through open and targeted calls with the aim of promoting the building of a community with a shared future for mankind. 7,024 works from 104 countries and regions were submitted, and 4,927 are from overseas, accounting for 70 percent.
