Rescue work is ongoing after four people were killed and another 48 remain unaccounted for after heavy rain lashed a village in the Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture in southwest China's Sichuan Province on August 21, local authorities said on Wednesday.
A total of 201 people were at a construction site in the village when a flash flood triggered by heavy rains hit the area. Of them, 149 have been rescued so far.
Five people had been detained on suspicion of failing to report or downplaying the incident, the local government said at a press conference.
