This year’s Changchun Film Carnival is presenting a series of exciting and colorful programs to residents and tourists in the capital city of Jilin Province. As a parallel event to the ongoing Changchun Film Festival set in a cultural and creative block of the city, the carnival has been upgraded to provide a wider range of interactive experiences, offering an entirely new concept in entertainment to local residents and visitors.

Since its launch in June, the district has been hosting a variety of themed performances every day. The interactive parade through the block sees actors dress up as characters from Chinese classical mythology periodically stroll through the streets, randomly offering peaches for visitors to taste. Every evening from 6pm to 9pm, the organizers also invite visitors to take part in interactive activities.

The Changchun Film Studio, a cornerstone of Chinese film industry, has earned Changchun the nickname of the "Film City." As the first immersive cultural block with a film theme in northeastern China, the Changchun Film Carnival retraces the historical context of Changchun's film culture. It seamlessly integrates retrospective elements with latest trends, science fiction and etc., plotting the path of the city's cinematic development while showcasing Changchun's unique cultural charms.

Artistic displays of thematic elements related to film and television productions adorn the block, creating a visually striking atmosphere while enhancing the visitor experience.

The launch of the Changchun Film Carnival fills the gap in Changchun's micro-tourism industry. Stepping into the themed cultural block allows visitors the chance to not only relive cinematic stories and experience the fusion of history and modernity, but also to appreciate the allure and elegance of traditional Chinese culture.
