China's national meteorological administration on Wednesday issued a red alert for Typhoon Saola, which is expected to bring gales and heavy rains to the country's eastern and southern coastal regions. Saola, the ninth typhoon this year, is moving in a northwesterly direction at speeds of up to 15 km/h.
