As the 18th Changchun Film Festival kicked off, the stage was set for another grand cultural feast in Changchun, northeast China’s Jilin Province, which sees the entire city pulsate with the essence of cinema.
For Changchun, cinema has long been a time-honored classic symbol. And as a city infused with the genes of cinema, this year's film festival running from August 28 to September 2 is set to prove an even bigger appeal for locals and visitors alike.

In the southeast of the city lies a 4A-rated film-themed tourism park, Changchun Movie Wonderland, which has been equipped with the latest global film special effects techniques. Here, visitors can take a proactive part in film production processes like dubbing and voice acting, and even perform in front of green screens, to truly experience the magic of modern cinema technology.
Changchun Movie Wonderland is the first world-class film and television amusement park in China that showcases the most advanced cinema technologies – from 4D films and laser suspended films, to dynamic dome films and 3D water curtain films, among others.
Since its opening in 2005, Changchun Movie Wonderland has received a total of five million visitors home and abroad.
