"We will certainly have our own Chaplin. Time will inevitably uncover them," said Zheng Dasheng, a jury member of the 18th China Changchun Film Festival (CCFF), in an exclusive interview with CGTN. A master filmmaker will emerge in this era of "self-media," he said.

The 18th CCFF kicked off on Monday. The biennial festival, which was first held in 1992, was founded in part by the Changchun Film Studio, which is one of the largest film production bases in the country.
