The Guiyang-Nanning High-speed Railway, stretching 482 kilometers and passing through 41 environmentally sensitive areas, is characterized by its green and eco-friendly design. Through careful planning and site-specific deliberation, engineers have taken targeted measures to optimize routes, minimize ecological disturbance, update construction techniques, and implement protective measures such as light barriers and soundproofing to protect local wildlife.
With about 282 kilometers of track located in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and 200 kilometers in Guizhou Province, the railway features 13 stations, traversing various land forms, such as a karst nature reserve, wetlands and sightseeing resorts, which are densely populated by ethnic minority groups. During the route selection process, engineers made a significant detour near Doupanshan-Jianjiang National Scenic Area in Guizhou's Duyun City to minimize disruption to the local environment.
