Live: View of Jingyuetan National Scenic Area – the 'green pearl' in Changchun

As the capital of northeast China's Jilin Province, Changchun is a key junction in the Belt and Road Initiative's China-Mongolia-Russia economic corridor. Despite the economic growth, the city is also doing well in green development. Located in the southeast of Changchun City, Jingyuetan National Scenic Area is a reservoir tourist area surrounded by mountains and dense vegetation. It is called Jingyue Lake, meaning "pure moon", because the lake is in the shape of a crescent moon. It is part of Changbai Mountain system, highlighting well-arranged low mountains and hills.

Built in 1934, Changchun Jingyuetan National Scenic Area was recognized as a national key scenic spot by the State Council in 1988, and was rated as a National Forest Park by the Ministry of Forestry in 1989. In 2011, it was rated as national 5A tourist attraction.
