China failed to secure automatic qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games after concluding their journey at the FIBA Basketball World Cup with four losses and one win in the group phase on Saturday.

The hosts, the Philippines, clinched a 96-75 win over Team China to achieve their first-ever win during the World Cup at Araneta Coliseum in Manila.

China lost to Serbia 105-63 in their opening match on August 26.

South Sudan defeated China 89-69 on August 28.

Puerto Rico had a 107-89 win over China on August 30.

China's solo victory came on August 31 when they beat Angola 83-76.
