While over 1,000 fires are still active in Canada's worst wildfire season, flames ravaged the Hawaiian island of Maui in August, killing at least 115 people according to the latest tally.
As wildfires have been making headlines this summer, CGTN spoke to fire experts from Australia, Canada and the United States to discuss how to reduce the blazes under the backdrop of climate change.
Some are calling for "prescribed burns" for help, a practice of intentional burning to clean the dry grasses and other flammable materials before a wildfire could occur.
