Haikui, the 11th typhoon this year, has been gathering strength and is forecast to make landfall on the Chinese mainland's southeastern coast by Tuesday afternoon, according to the National Meteorological Center (NMC).
Haikui strengthened from a strong typhoon to a super typhoon at 10 a.m. on Sunday.
