Japan has been releasing the Fukushima nuclear-contaminated water into the Pacific ocean since August 24. The news sparked continuous attention and opposition worldwide.
On the other side of the Pacific, CGTN Stringer hit the streets of Monterrey, Mexico to interview the local residents. Most strongly opposed and criticized Japan's practices and were worried about its negative impact on countries like Mexico. "I think Japan's decision is very hasty, unnecessary and unethical,"a local activist said. "This is a decision that should be made by everybody, not only by just a few."
