On September 2, 2023, the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) opened in Beijing. With the theme of "Opening up Leads Development, Cooperation Delivers the Future," this year's CIFTIS covers nine themes: financial services, cultural and tourism services, education services, sports services, supply chain and business services, engineering consulting and construction services, health and hygiene services, environmental services, and telecommunication, computer and information services. It has attracted more than 80 countries and international organizations who set up exhibitions and more than 2,400 enterprises set up exhibitions.

On the first day of CIFTIS, Eakvixay Tran, a Generation Z Lao student studying in China explored Shougang Park. Eakvixay Tran, who is interested in high-tech service products, first visited the Telecommunications, Computer and Information Services Pavilion, and then the Supply Chain and Business Services Pavilion, which is related to his economics major. All kinds of novelty exhibits made Eakvixay Tran excited about his first visit to CIFTIS. At the end of the day, Eakvixay Tran commented that "the trip was an interesting and unforgettable experience," while the transformation of old factories in Shougang Park into pavilions full of high-tech services products made him feel the strong contrast between the old and new generations.
