The annual China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) is being held in Beijing. A poll launched by CGTN for global netizens showed that 90 percent of respondents praised China's success in organizing the CIFTIS for many consecutive years. They believe that China, which focuses on innovation and openness, provides new opportunities for all-round cooperation among countries. It has injected a strong impetus into restoring the global economy and enhancing the resilience of world economic development.
New energy automatic ice-cream trucks, multi-functional intelligent road poles, and other high-tech and environmentally friendly products have been displayed at CIFTIS. According to the data, respondents generally believe that the widely favorable reception of CIFTIS stems from China's continued momentum of innovation and thorough openness.
Chinese President Xi Jinping addressed the Global Trade in Services Summit and underlined the importance of openness in the world economy and the risks of seclusion. He reaffirmed the country's commitment to promoting high-standard opening up and advancing Chinese modernization through high-quality development, thereby providing all countries with new opportunities for openness and cooperation. Against the backdrop of a sluggish global economic recovery, CIFTIS is not only a platform for showcasing new achievements in the service industry's development, but it also sends a strong signal of China's commitment to a high level of openness. In this regard, 84.4 percent of respondents said that further liberalization of market access in the services sector by China, as well as the creation of a fairer and more open business environment, would increase the level of service trade.
Besides, 90.5 percent of global respondents highly agreed that modern services and trade in services are important, believing that a high level of services can facilitate people's lives and improve their life quality. More than 60 percent (62.5 percent) of the respondents believe that the development of digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and blockchain, has effectively upgraded the level of the traditional service industry and derived new service scenarios and needs to satisfy people's lives. Another 82 percent of the respondents said that the service industry while meeting the needs of the public in their daily lives, can also effectively promote employment and create considerable economic benefits.

Over the past decade, China's annual average contribution to world economic growth has exceeded 30 percent. Experience has amply proved that China's development cannot be separated from the world, and the world's prosperity also needs China. As high as 92.9 percent of the respondents strongly urged that all countries should work together to safeguard the hard-won free trade and multilateral trading system, and unite for an even brighter and more prosperous future for the world. As a CGTN netizen left a message, "China welcomes all countries in the world to participate in this event and opposes all forms of unilateral sanctions."
