ASEAN issues chairman's statement of 43rd summit

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) on Wednesday issued the chairman's statement of the 43rd ASEAN Summit in Jakarta, Indonesia.
"We reaffirmed our shared commitment to maintaining and promoting peace, security and stability in the region," said the statement.
ASEAN agreed that the Philippines shall assume the ASEAN chairmanship in 2026, it added.
