Chinese Premier Li Qiang said on Tuesday that China and Indonesia share similar visions, extensive consensus and common interests at the regional and global level.

In his address at a welcoming reception hosted by the China-Indonesia business community, Li said for a long time, China-Indonesia cooperation has gone beyond the bilateral scope, adding that both are emerging countries with a strong desire for national rejuvenation, and both are committed to maintaining openness, inclusiveness, harmony and stability in the region.

Noting that the visit is his first to an Asian country as premier of China's State Council, Li said that making Indonesia his first stop is for development, friendship, peace and cooperation, China and Indonesia are good neighbors, good brothers and good partners across the sea, and their long-lasting friendly relations are beaming with new vitality.

He said in recent years, under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China-Indonesia relations have achieved substantial development, bringing tangible benefits to the two peoples.

Being each other's important trading partners, the two countries' investment cooperation has grown by leaps and bounds, and their industrial and supply chains are deeply integrated, realizing mutual achievements, Li said, noting that China-Indonesia cooperation has gone beyond the bilateral scope, which is of exemplary and leading significance to regional stability and prosperity.

"The more the situation changes, the more imperative it is to grasp the general trend and mainstream," said Li. For China and Indonesia, he continued, two major developing countries, peaceful development and win-win cooperation are the only path to national rejuvenation and people's happiness.

Entrepreneurs should strengthen confidence, seek development through deepening cooperation and win the future by riding the trend, he said.

With broad space for high-quality cooperation, China is willing to work with Indonesia to further expand cooperation on green energy, the digital economy, biomedicine and artificial intelligence, further expand bilateral cooperation and increase efficiency, Li said, hoping that enterprises of the two countries can strengthen high-level innovation cooperation to help the development of the two countries.

China will steadily boost institutional opening-up, further expand market access in areas including modern services and make greater efforts to protect intellectual property rights, Li said.

China will make efforts to provide a world-class, market-oriented business environment governed by a sound legal framework, said Li, hoping that Indonesia continues to make its market open and provide a fair and just business environment for Chinese enterprises.

Li also expressed the hope that entrepreneurs of the two sides will strive to be promoters, disseminators and leaders of friendship and cooperation between China and Indonesia, create more benefits for the two peoples and make greater contributions to building a China-Indonesia community with a shared future.

Coordinator for Cooperation with China and Coordinating Minister of Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan and some 200 representatives from the business circle of the two countries attended the event.

Luhut said in his speech that the cooperation between Indonesia and China has strongly promoted Indonesia's economic development and achieved mutual benefits and win-win results.

Indonesia is willing to further strengthen strategic cooperation with China, deepen the integration of the industrial chain and the supply chain to achieve high-quality development and push bilateral relations to a new level, Luhut added.
