Widespread telecom fraud in northern Myanmar has caused huge economic losses and physical and mental harm to many from China and other neighboring countries. However, the crackdown on such crimes is making progress, with a group of suspects detained over the weekend in a joint operation launched by Chinese police and local law enforcement in Myanmar.
