The Red Cross' presence in Beijing is already close to two decades old and is marked by strengthened dialogue and cooperation. Mirjana Spoljaric, president of the International Committee of the Red Cross, says her appeal to China is for even more support in the future. Spoljaric recognizes that China is a regional and global player primed to assist humanitarian action globally.
