CGTN is launching a "Cup of Tea" challenge to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative. In this video, CGTN reporter Du Zhuoran shows how to drink yerba mate tea. First shake the tea leaves to filter out the fine residue, then pour cold water and stand for 10 minutes, and finally pour about 70 degrees Celsius hot water. Drinking yerba mate tea requires a special straw. If you desire a better taste, you can wrap a layer of filter net around the straw. In Argentina, yerba mate tea also serves as a kind of social tool. Sharing a cup of yerba mate tea signifies a close relationship.
