On Thursday morning, the Communist Party of China Central Committee General Secretary Xi Jinping, on a visit to Heilongjiang Province, went to Harbin Engineering University to learn about the development history of the university and its contribution to China's national defense science and technology. He also inspected a display of teaching and research achievements.
Xi wished Harbin Engineering University's teaching staff, and all teachers across the country, a happy Teachers' Day, which falls on September 10.
