The death toll from a strong earthquake that struck Morocco late on Friday has risen to more than 2,000. Over 1,000 people are critically injured. On Saturday, Morocco's national seismic monitoring institution revised upward the tremor's magnitude from 6.8 to 7.0. The epicenter of the earthquake was near the town of Ighil in Al Haouz Province, some 70 kilometers southwest of Marrakesh.
