Typhoon Haikui has continued to bring heavy rain to southern China's Guangdong Province, causing severe flooding, collapsing roads and trapping people.
From September 9 to 10, Maoming City experienced an average rainfall of 147.9 millimeters, reaching the level of a severe downpour. In the flood-hit area of Maonan District, 12 firefighters rescued 20 stranded residents. A total of 117 residents in the city had been rescued and evacuated as of 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.
