CMG to send over 4,500 people for 19th Asian Games coverage

China Media Group (CMG) will send more than 4, 500 personnel to cover the upcoming 19th Asian Games scheduled to take place in Hangzhou, east China's Zhejiang Province from September 23 to October 8.  

At a send-off ceremony held in Beijing on Monday, CMG President Shen Haixiong addressed about 140 representatives of the production team on the significance of presenting to the world the stories of Asiad, the city of Hangzhou, and the host nation, China.  

According to Shen, this would be the first time in CMG history to serve as the main broadcaster of the Asian Games. CMG will deliver high-quality coverage in 4K and produce the opening and closing ceremonies in 8K technology.  

CMG will broadcast the Games across its multiple channels and platforms, including CCTV-5, CCTV 5+, the Olympic channel (CCTV-16), and digital platform Yangshipin.  

The 19th Asian Games will have a total of 481 gold medals for 61 events in 40 sports.
