Intense rainfall brought by the remnants of Typhoon Haikui has wreaked havoc in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region over the past weekend. This has increased the water level in rivers and flooded residential areas. As of 5 a.m. on Monday, the amount of water at 14 monitoring stations in 11 rivers across Guangxi had reached warning levels. Firefighters have been rescuing residents, and more were sent to several local towns with a higher flood risk as a precautionary measure.
