The 19th Asian Games, which will open on September 23 in Hangzhou, east China's Zhejiang Province, is set to be the largest edition ever, with 12,500 athletes from 45 countries and regions competing in 40 sports, 61 disciplines and 481 events.
Team China
The Chinese delegation to the 19th Asian Games will comprise 1,329 members, including 886 athletes.
The delegation includes 437 female and 449 male athletes at the average age of 25 years old.

60-year-old bridge player Dai Jianming is the eldest, while 13-year-old skateboarder Cui Chenxi is the youngest.
67 athletes participated in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, while 201 athletes competed during the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
226 athletes competed in the Jakarta 2018 Asian Games. 630 individuals will be participating in the showpiece event for the very first time.
Also, 71 athletes are from China's ethnic minorities such as Hui, Mongolia and Miao people, accounting for eight percent of the delegation.

A total of 36 Olympic champions are included in the Chinese delegation for the 19th Asian Games.
Table tennis legend Ma Long has the most Olympic titles as he clinched two singles titles, at Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
Along with teammates, Ma also triumphed in team events gold medals in London 2012, Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020.

South Korea will send its largest ever athletic delegation to the continental competition, which includes 867 athletes and 273 coaches and officials for 39 out of 40 sports.
Malaysia will send 289 athletes to the Hangzhou Asian Games to compete in 22 out of 40 sports.
Kuwait will send a total of 140 athletes to compete in 25 sports during the games.
