The Moroccan government has increased rescue efforts and is using heavy equipment to search for survivors of the magnitude-7 earthquake that shook the southern part of Marrakesh on September 8. The rescue teams are continuing to distribute water, food, tents and blankets to quake victims. Though a large number of supplies and rescue teams were organized, the work is slow, as landslides have buried the roads to the quake's epicenter.
