The death toll from a 7.0-magnitude earthquake that struck Morocco on Friday night has risen to 2,862, with 2,562 people injured, according to the latest statement released by the Moroccan Interior Ministry on Monday. The epicenter of the earthquake was near the town of Ighil in Al Haouz Province, almost 71 kilometers southwest of Marrakesh.
