Sichuan Tangjiahe National Nature Reserve, located in Guangyuan City, SW China, is home to many different species of animals and plants. There are 430 species of vertebrates in the area, including 72 species of animals under national key protection and 13 species of first-class protected animals. Giant pandas, golden monkeys and takin also live there.
As a "Green Pearl," it also embraces about 2,422 species of plants – 12 species of rare plants under national key protection, and four species of first-level protected plants including Davidia involucrata, Ginkgo biloba and Taxus yew.
