The death toll from heavy rainfall and flooding in Libya caused by Storm Daniel has reached 5,300 and is expected to rise, local media reported on September 12. At least 10,000 people are still missing across the country and more than 40,000 people have been displaced, said Tamer Ramadan, Libya envoy for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
