Ukraine's military said its forces had struck naval targets and port infrastructure on Wednesday in the bay of the Crimean port of Sevastopol.

The Russian Defense Ministry said earlier that Ukraine launched 10 missiles and three speedboat attacks on the port, with seven missiles downed by Russia's air defense systems and all three boats destroyed by a patrol ship.

At least 24 people were injured due to the attacks, according to Mikhail Razvozhayev, the governor of Sevastopol.
