A Happy Reunion with Siberian Crane '419'

In the spring of 2018, veteran ornithologist Zhou Haixiang and his family rescued an injured Siberian crane in the Liaohe River Basin. After a brief recovery, the crane was fitted with a tracking device and allowed to return on its migratory journey. A year later, after following it as far as 600 kilometers, Zhou finally spotted his long, lost friend in the Ertailong River Basin of northeast China's Jilin Province. The reunion brought him to tears.
