China released a circular on Tuesday that aims to make Fujian Province a demonstration zone for integrated development across the Taiwan Straits. The document lists 21 specific measures, from streamlining residence registration for Taiwan compatriots to providing a better business environment for Taiwan enterprises. Professor Liu Baocheng, dean of the Center for International Business Ethics at the University of International Business and Economics, says that the Chinese mainland will be more open and friendly to people from Taiwan, its investment and its tourists.
