The Huanglong Sports Center has been upgraded to facilitate the upcoming Asian Games in Hangzhou, east China's Zhejiang Province. Functionality and green development were among the key aspects considered during the upgrade. For example, the center's swimming pool can be disassembled and reinstalled several times without affecting its immediate surroundings, a move that improves the utilization rate of the venue with minimum environmental impact. The Huanglong Sports Center complex will be the official Hangzhou Asian Games venue for five events in three categories: football, gymnastics and water polo.
