Sri Lanka is the fourth largest tea exporter in the world after China, Kenya and India. The ideal levels of humidity, temperature and rainfall in the country's central highlands enable a climate that favors the production of high-quality tea. The highest production of 340 million kilograms was recorded in 2013. CGTN reporter You Yang travels to a tea estate in the suburbs of Sri Lankan capital Colombo to explore its unique tea culture.
