The painting "Yao Tai Bu Yue Tu," or "Enjoying Moonlight on Gorgeous Platform" was created by Liu Zonggu on a silk cloth during the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279). It depicts three noble ladies standing on a platform, holding small trays with offerings and tea cups on them. Two teenage attendants stand on the sides, holding a tea pot and a fan respectively. A full moon hangs in the sky, shrouded by thin clouds. The ancient painting highlights the trend at the time of drinking tea and reciting poetry on full moon evenings.
