Dongyang wood carving is one of China's national-level forms of intangible cultural heritage, known for its unique craftsmanship, exquisite artistry, and distinctive style.
At the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, Huang Xiaoming, the primary custodian of China's intangible cultural heritage in Dongyang wood carving, oversees the production of the "Abundant Harvest" award bouquets, comprising over 7,000 pieces. The production is nearing completion. Huang said these award bouquets are crafted from zelkova wood, prized for its durability, and measure 18 centimeters in height and 8 centimeters in diameter.
