The historical city of Derna, Libya, was evacuated after the catastrophic flooding caused by Hurricane Daniel on September 10, which led to a humanitarian disaster. At least 11,300 people have been killed and more than 10,000 others are missing, according to the Libyan Red Crescent. There is a growing fear of epidemics and diseases from the stray bodies that have decomposed four days after the tragedy.

CGTN Stringer's exclusive video from September 14 shows people searching for bodies under the rubble and stacking cars by the sea. A graffiti can be seen on the wall: "Derna is the origin of civilization."
