Macclesfield: where the Silk Road ends

Located in Cheshire, northwestern England, Macclesfield is a small town that was once the heart of the silk industry in Europe. It is considered by many to be the western end of the Silk Road, and the silk culture lives on in the town till today. As a member of the newly founded International Tourism Alliance of Silk Road Cities, the town looks for and expects more opportunities.
