The China-Kazakhstan International Logistics Base is situated in the Lianyungang port of east China. Lianyungang is identified by the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) strategic plan of China as the starting city of the new Eurasian Continental Bridge. So far, more than 80 percent of Kazakhstan's major trade commodities such as mineral products and grains are exported via the Lianyungang port.
