Germany haven't appointed a new manager since they fired Hansi Flick from the position, which was the first time in German football history.
Germany have failed to advance to the knockout stage in the past two consecutive editions of FIFA World Cup. They are the hosts for the UEFA European Championship in 2024. So whoever takes over will be under extremely heavy pressure to win.
But is appointing a new manager really enough for Germany to reverse the situation? Judging by the team's disappointing performances in the past 10 months, they have problems in over half of the 11 positions in the field.
Germany managed to overcome two slumps and bounced back high before. Maybe they can learn from those experiences this time...
