The Jubia and Ilia hydroelectric power stations have provided sustainable and clean energy to the Brazilian population for many years, with an installed capacity of approximately five million kilowatts. However, due to a lack of investment over the past years and inadequate maintenance, the stations have suffered severe aging. Following the takeover of operations by China's Three Gorges Company, large-scale renovation and upgrading efforts have been undertaken at the stations. However, it is sometimes challenging for engineers from both sides to bridge the cultural gap and adopt localization management.
