China Disabled Persons' Federation holds national congress

The China Disabled Persons' Federation opened its eighth national congress in Beijing on Monday. Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, attended the event with other Party and state leaders, including Li Qiang, Zhao Leji, Wang Huning and Cai Qi. The event, held at the Great Hall of the People, was attended by more than 600 delegates who represent about 85 million people living with disabilities in China.
