China's Shenzhou-16 astronauts to stream live 4th science lecture from China Space Station

China's Shenzhou-16 astronauts are slated to stream a live science lecture from the space station at 3:45 p.m. BJT on Thursday, according to the China Manned Space Agency.

The crew members, including Jing Haipeng, Zhu Yangzhu and Gui Haichao, will demonstrate several science experiments in the "Tiangong Class", the fourth lecture of its kind, for the youth around the globe who are curious about space.

The astronauts will also interact with the youngsters on the ground via an online video chat.

The Shenzhou-16 manned spacecraft embarked on its journey to the China Space Station on May 30 for about five months. It is the first manned mission since the space station entered its application and development stage.

During their stay, the crew carries out scientific experiments, tests payload applications, performs extravehicular activities (EVAs) and installs extravehicular payload.The mission also includes space station maintenance and repair tasks.

Shenzhou-16 crew will return to Earth in November after handing over to the Shenzhou-17 crew that will follow.

The Tiangong Class is China's space science education brand, introducing a series of classes in which the Chinese taikonauts act as the teachers in space and interact with students especially teenagers.

Previously, Shenzhou-13 and Shenzhou-14 crews have carried out three lectures which inspired young people to pursue space curiosity.
