Exoskeleton robots, a wearable device usually seen in sci-fi movies, are expected to be applied in multiple scenarios such as aviation, electricity, and automobiles in the future.

Displayed at the expo is one that can be put on in 20 seconds. Aided by it, the user can easily lift up to 25 kilograms of weight.

Developed by the Chinese firm Duofu Aviation, a light single-engine turboshaft helicopter known as K216 is light weight and has high stability.

It can reach a maximum speed of 205 kilometer per hour with a weight that's only two thirds of its counterparts' powered by piston engines.

The helicopter provides more space compared to those of the same class, and the retractable landing gear enables faster speed because of lesser resistance while flying, exhibitor Wang Yuan told China Media Group.

The company owns the intellectual property rights of the core technologies and has received quite a lot of orders at the expo, said Wang.

A lidar device, brought by the Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, can detect smoke within two minutes, and identify atmospheric pollution sources in seconds.

"For example, for forest fire prevention, the lidar can detect fire within two minutes, and simultaneously monitor smoke and wind fields, covering an area of more than 300 square kilometers," a person in charge was quoted by Xinhua as saying.

The gadget has been applied for the meteorological monitoring of Beijing Daxing International Airport and for deep dives of scientific research vessels.
