The Lower Sesan 2 Hydropower station is located on the Sesan river in northeastern Cambodia. The total length of the dam is 6.5 kilometers, making it one of the longest dams in Asia and the largest hydro project in Cambodia. The total installed capacity has accounted for nearly 20 percent of the total installed capacity of Cambodia since the station started operation in 2018.
