As one of the five cities to co-host the 19th Asian Games, the city of Shaoxing is famous for its yellow wine industry. With a history of more than 2,500 years, Shaoxing yellow wine is one of the most famous varieties of Huangjiu, or Chinese yellow wine, fermented from rice.
