The China Society for Human Rights Studies and New China Research, a Xinhua News Agency think tank, released a joint report on China's practices and contributions to global human rights governance on Tuesday.

The report, titled "For the Common Value and Dignity of All Humanity - China's Practice of and Contribution to Global Human Rights Governance," comprises four parts, namely, "China's Practice of Participating In Global Human Rights Governance," "China's Contribution to Promoting the Development of World Human Rights," "Chinese Wisdom that Enriches the Form of Human Rights Civilization," and "China's Plan to Improve Global Human Rights Governance."

The report emphasizes that China has always participated in the United Nations human rights affairs in a responsible manner, actively participated in global human rights governance, and endeavored to promote the healthy development of the international human rights cause.

The report points out that in the process of advancing the cause of human rights in the world, China is not an outsider, but a practitioner who is constantly involved in the process.

With its practical actions, China has helped to strengthen the foundation for the development of global human rights protection, safeguard the safe environment for global human rights protection, uphold justice in global human rights governance, and promote exchanges and mutual understanding among different human rights civilizations, thus making important contributions to the development of the cause of human rights in the world.

Based on the tremendous historical achievements of China's human rights practice, the report concludes four major features of China's human rights development path, namely, the people's nature of the human rights cause, the autonomy of human rights practice, the comprehensiveness of human rights promotion, and the sustainability of human rights development.

Noting global human rights governance is facing serious challenges, the report stresses that while advancing its own human rights cause, China will take practical action to promote the development of global human rights governance in a fairer, more equitable, more reasonable and more inclusive direction, and will continue to contribute to the improvement of global human rights governance with Chinese wisdom and Chinese proposals.
