In quite an unconventional approach, a training camp was organized by the crew of "Creation of the Gods," a new Chinese production of an epic mythological trilogy, to help pick the best actors and actresses.
As director Wuershan put it: "It is a trilogy, which means the actors had to commit a significant amount of time to the production without taking on other work. This allowed them to focus on training and filming."
For example, acquiring the appropriate equestrian skills over a short period of time would not have been possible due to the associated risks, and the cast needed a high level of professionalism to meet filming requirements. Meanwhile, the crew tailored meal plans for different roles to ensure the best on-screen performances and presence.
