Chinese-American composer Nathan Wang is in southwest China's Chengdu as a jury member in film category at the First Golden Panda Awards. He's also behind the soundtracks of Wang Baoqiang's "Never Say Never." In an interview with CGTN, Nathan Wang said, "I tried to come up with something that I thought would be very powerful, exciting and at the same time very emotional. Those three things I think happened to be in this movie and I had to capture it in the musical direction." The Hollywood composer says he's always trying to find ways to blend Eastern and Western concepts when making music for films. "I try to combine everything, like putting the orchestra together with Chinese instruments."
